Do you ever look at your child's drawings and just smile? Don't you just want to share the creative works with everyone?!?! I mean that smile you get, don't you want EVERYONE to get that same smile and single handedly fill this world with the same happiness you become filled with, the moment you look at their drawings?!
Ok, maybe that's just me. I have this proud, want to post, brag, and brand, strand inside me. I absolutely am IN LOVE with the creative mind our six year old has! The things he notices on or about a vehicle, astounds me. I'm well aware that I am a girl who doesn't love much about inventions with an engine, other than they get me from point A to point B. But, the detail and the questions this little mind comes up with, makes both my husbands head, as well as mine, spin to just stare at each other in amazement. Therefore, I feel obligated to celebrate and share his creative expertise.
Moms and Dads, I encourage you to use your little one's masterpiece as some form of gift. Even if it's to yourself. Not only does it build your mini's self confidence, but it encourages your little one's mind to grow. To continue to notice those details and to make their visions come to life using many skills.
For Father's Day last year, Mr. little and I worked hard on a gift for both Dad and Grandpa. A gift that is right up their alley in interest and hobby, and one that they would get actual use out of. Therefore, custom shirts were made. The men in my life are so frighteningly related. Red is color of choice and anything with an engine is the interest of choice. He decided who had what truck or car on their shirt, how both the front and the back sides would look and even picked out the color of red shirts themselves.

(*Note: If you're using a fabric marker like we did, have your child draw his creations using a pencil while you hold the shirt taut. Even though our little guy was a pro at sketching, between fabric naturally buckling and the speed in which the mind to the hand was going, less permanent lines were created. Next, with the amount of years in experience I had in drawing and crafting, I simply traced over his fun drawings with the fabric marker once he was done doing so in pencil. Also, make sure you have a piece of cardboard or something under the shirt as you trace with the fabric marker. It will bleed!*)
My boys wear their shirts ALL the time! I wash them like normal and hang them to dry. It's been almost a year, MUCH wear and wash, and I only just went over the artwork with my fabric marker to brighten it up! A very budget friendly gift that is the most priceless.
